November. Artists' society Soiuz molodezhi (The Union of Youth) established in St Petersburg by Mikhail Matiushin, Elena Guro and other artists formerly associated with Nikolai Kul'bin's group Treugol'nik (The Triangle). The Union of Youth became one of the driving forces of the Russian avant-garde.
