An exhibition of the works selected for the World Exhibition in Vienna was held at the Academy of Arts. It included : Ilia Repin's final version of Volga Barge Haulers and Henryk Siemiradzki, Greshnitsa (Sinner); Valerii Iakobi's painting Shuty pri dvore imperatritsy Anny Ioannovny (Jesters at the Court of the Empress Anna Ioannovna) was removed from the exhibition by the authorities.
